Master Dressage Trainer Peter Borggreve

In 1990, Peter Borggreve was awarded a Master’s Degree in riding and teaching with academic honors, by the German FN. He completed his training as one of the best in his class and for that was awarded the Stensbeckplakette. From 1988 to 2004, Peter was director and riding instructor at the breeding, riding and driving club in Heiden, Germany.  There he successfully instructed his students in the art of dressage and jumping while he himself was competing through the Grand Prix Level. From 2004 to 2016, Peter was honored to take the “Head Riding and Training Master” position at the famous German State Stud (Landgestuet) in Warendorf, Germany.
At the State Stud, Peter was tasked with the training of 106 breeding stallions.  In addition, he was in charge of all the musical freestyles and choreography of the Landgestuet’s annual Stallion Parade and Symphony.  Being an expert in quadrilles and musical freestyles, Peter was asked to design the dramatic 64-stallion quadrille that opened the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany. Peter was also member of Germany’s National Bereiter examination committee for aspiring professional  trainers, riding master candidates, as well as judges.
Additionally, Peter competed on international competitions such as the Hamburg Derby, Hickstedt in England, CHI Al Shaqab in Quatar, Wiesbaden, Bremen, Oldenburg,  and Hagen.  He also has qualified various young stallions and ridden them at Warendorf’s famous Bundeschampionat. Peter was on the German B Division and was also awarded “Westphalian Master” in 2006.
Peter has been traveling the US to teach dressage since 2007.  He is a dedicated teacher that has the capability to take each horse and each rider through all levels to Grand Prix. He holds clinics all over Germany and the US. Ever since the pandemic has started, new ways were found to continue his teaching in the US. Peter has the technology to train classical dressage up to Grand Prix online. In 2018, Peter started his own horse business. Next to teaching, he starts young horses and trains them up all levels. He is also an expert in marketing dressage horses.

Dressage Clinic with Joseph Newcomb – May 14th 2022

Joseph Newcomb, aka- the in hand guy, specializes in-hand piaffe/passage work helping horses of all levels achieve their maximum potential.  Joseph travels internationally specializing in in-hand clinics. His clinics are built upon a philosophy of teaching the horse to respond to the smallest aids. Starting with basic groundwork and de-spooking, Joseph establishes good responses to basic aids. By using these basic exercises as building blocks, Joseph is able to develop the piaffe passage with as little tension and stress as possible. “My number one priority is that each horse in the clinic has a good experience today”.
