Peter Borggreve Clinic Wrap-Up

We had another wonderful clinic with Peter!  We always appreciate him coming out and sharing his expertise.  He always provides a wealth of knowledge for riders and auditors, and reminds us how special a discipline Dressage is.  Make sure to follow us on Facebook to see more pictures from the clinic and to stay informed of other events happening at the barn.

In Memory – Kathleen Coffman

With a very heavy heart we want to acknowledge the passing of our barn mate Kathleen Coffman.  Kathleen was a valued member, an exceptional rider, and always had a smile on her face and a kind word to say.  Kathleen was an integral part of our barn family, and we will miss her dearly.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to her husband and loved ones.

Congratulations are in order!

We are very excited to announce we have several end of year award winners for the CDS San Diego Chapter rated shows!  They are as follows:

Open Third Level: First Place – Kim Monk and Furstenstoltz 6

Open Second Level: First Place – Phoenix Carver and Dr. Summer II

AA First Level: Second Place – Andrea Lora and Talladega Noche

Way to go team!!  We applaud everyone and their horses on their hard work and dedication.  It’s going to be a great awards ceremony!!

He’s Back! 
Peter Borggreve headed to FHRC

We are super excited to host Peter Borggreve on June 18th and 19th.  Peter will once again be instructing riders of all levels.  Participation spots are currently full, but let us know if you would like to be put on a wait list.  Those not participating are strongly recommended to audit!  Peter’s vital teaching can be used for any rider.  Make sure to save the date and spread the word!  

Last schooling show success!

The schooling show at Fallbrook Rider’s Field on May 22 was a great event for all the rider’s who attended.  Gwen on Cali had her first show ever.  Not only did she score in the high 60’s in intro level, but she won both her classes!  Andrea and Sambuco, and Rebecca on Brighton, both had fantastic scores in the high 60’s (and 70 for Rebecca – a first for her!).  Sara and Paddy also had a great ride practicing their third level test.  Congrats to all our hard working riders! 

Upcoming Show

June 10th – 12th is the CDS San Diego Road to Championships located at Galway Downs in Temecula.  We have multiple rider’s attending this show, which runs Friday to Sunday.  Please come out and cheer on our wonderful riders and horses!  We’re looking forward to it!

Happy Spring!

With spring comes longer days, warm temps, and more time to ride!  We have a lot to look forward to the coming months with clinics and horse shows.  We have a list of dates on the website with upcoming shows for both the rated and schooling circuit.  Make sure to check with your trainer what shows you’ll be attending.

CDS San Diego Spring Forward Show

We had a great time at the CDS show at Galway Downs the weekend of April 8th.  All of our riders did great, with scores from mid-high 60’s.  Sara and Paddy qualified for RAAC at Third Level and Royce and Oliver qualified for RAAC and won the Championships in Fourth Level, Test 3.  Kim qualified for CDS Championships in Third Level.  Phoenix had her first show on her new horse Brighton, and brought home 65’s at 2nd Level.  Congrats Everyone!!  Below are some pictures from the show.

Joseph Newcomb Clinic

The clinic with Joseph on May 14th is going to be here before we know it.  There are a couple of spots left so please let Phoenix know as soon as possible if you want to participate.  We request that all those auditing (including FHRC members) to please fill out the registration form on our website, see link below.  This will help us plan for the event accordingly.  Thank you and we look forward to seeing you there!
